ASCORBIC ACID FINE POWDER

Ascorbic Acid Fine Powder is a practically odourless powder with a strong acid taste. It melts at about 190°C with decomposition. Ascorbic Acid Fine Powder is freely soluble in water and sparingly soluble in alcohol. It is used in the food industry for enrichment of liquid feed preparations and for enrichment, standardization or stabilization of dry food preparations and drinks. Ascorbic Acid Fine Powder helps improve the baking qualities of flour and is used as an agent in dry mixes for curing meat. It acts as an antioxidant and prevents oxidation of foods. Ascorbic Acid Fine Powder meets all requirements of compendial standards like USP, FCC and Ph. Eur. It is fairly stable if protected from humidity but somewhat sensitive to heat.
