BYK-354

BYK 354 is a polyacrylate-based surface additive that provides leveling and anti-cratering properties. BYK 354 increases gloss and has a deaerating effect due to its high molecular weight and non-polar structure. It only reduces surface tension slightly. BYK 354 is recommended for solvent-borne and solvent-free systems as well as UV-curing products. BYK 354 performs well at levels between 0.1-1.5% and can be incorporated during any stage of production, including post-addition, for optimized deaeration when added to the mill base. BYK 354 is thermally stable and helps provide a smooth finish without negatively impacting intercoat adhesion or overprinting capabilities. Its unique properties make BYK 354 well-suited as a surface additive for applications where a high-quality aesthetic is required.
