Petteri is a fresh graduate from the food science department of University of Helsinki and now holds a unique position within IMCD having started his 18-month long traineeship in October 2021. The training program is driven centrally by IMCD Group and aims at the candidates becoming fully fledged Flavor Account Managers after an extensive and varied practical training.
“During a typical week I balance between my training tasks which are set to me in line with our training rotations. In my Technical Application Scientist rotation currently, I assist our sales managers in creating samples using ingredients sourced from our principals. My other tasks include for example flavour and colour selection, sample ordering, customer presentations and much more.
My colleagues welcomed me warmly right from the start and are always willing to help me with no hesitation. The entrepreneurial aspect of IMCD was one of the prime motivations for my application and that has held true. IMCD allows much more than career development. With space to work and develop your own style makes you a lot more intwined with who you are and what style suits you the most.
