BYK-327

BYK 327 is a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane additive that improves leveling and wetting for coatings. BYK 327 can be added to solvent-borne, solvent-free, radiation-curable and aqueous coating systems. It has little effect on increasing surface slip and reducing surface tension. BYK 327 is suitable for clear coats as it is miscible with most common solvents and does not cause turbidity in water. As an additive for thermoset materials, BYK 327 improves leveling and prevents defects like Bénard cells. It also acts as a defoamer during production and application. BYK 327 slightly reduces surface tension and is suitable for filled systems.
