LAPONITE-EP

LAPONITE EP is a layered silicate additive manufactured from naturally occurring mineral sources with a proprietary organic modification. It is particularly effective in formulations requiring spray-with-cling rheology and stabilizing suspensions of pigments and minerals. LAPONITE EP can be used for imparting a shear sensitive structure to water based systems. It provides benefits such as improving the performance and stability of products that require higher levels of water, dissolved salts or water soluble organic solvents. LAPONITE EP must be pre-dispersed in water before addition of other formulation ingredients to get the desired rheological benefits.
