BYK-094

BYK 094 is a VOC-free silicone-containing defoamer that is compatible for use in aqueous coating systems. BYK 094 prevents foam forming during the manufacture and application of coatings. It is particularly suitable for use in pigmented and non-pigmented aqueous coatings used in the Advanced Materials industry. BYK 094 efficiently destroys foam and has excellent long-term effectiveness. As a result, it prevents foam building up in the ink ducts and pump systems. This ensures a smooth and uniform coating process. BYK 094 can be added at any stage of the coating production process. Its high activity means it distributes well at moderate shear rates, avoiding defects. Only very small addition levels of BYK 094, around 0.1-1%, are required. This makes it very cost-effective for use in Advanced Materials coating formulations.
