Ceska®-Star U174 is a concentrated culture in deep frozen pellets, containing strains of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis / cremoris, Leuconostoc spec. and Streptococcus thermophilus. The culture is meant as direct vat inoculant for the production of sour cream. Ceska®Star is DSM's family of mesophilic and thermophilic cultures for cheese and other dairy applications.
