CLAYTONE AF is an organophilic bentonite derivative which is used as a thixotropic thickener and anti-settling agent in solvent based coating systems of low to medium polarity. As a specially activated, organophilic smectite product, CLAYTONE AF can swell in organic media and build a gel structure, providing stability and preventing sagging and settling of coatings. CLAYTONE AF is easy to disperse and self-activating, requiring no additional activators. It provides the benefits of maintaining uniform viscosity and preventing pigment settling in solvent-based coating systems used in industrial applications.
