BYK-8070

BYK-8070 is a soap-based foam stabilizer additive that can be used for mechanically foamable materials. BYK-8070 stabilizes the foam formation and allows for a very fine, homogeneous and open-celled foam structure to be achieved. This unique foam structure provides excellent resistance to compression set. BYK-8070 is commonly used at dosage levels between 1-4 parts per hundred of the base resin. It can be post-added during mixing or directly injected into mechanical foaming equipment. The stabilized foam produced using BYK-8070 results in high performance insulating materials with long-lasting load bearing properties.
