BYK-3565

BYK-3565 is a surface-active additive that improves leveling and increases the surface energy of aqueous, solvent-borne, UV and 100% systems with anti-cratering properties, especially in aqueous systems. BYK-3565 is commonly used in industrial coating solutions where it provides benefits such as good leveling properties, anti-cratering effects and the ability to increase the surface energy of cured coating films. This positively impacts wetting, leveling of coating layers and intercoat adhesion. BYK-3565 is typically recommended for use at 0.1-2% of the total formulation and can be added at any stage to ensure homogeneous incorporation. It is suitable for industrial applications requiring conditionally temperature stable coatings with increased surface energy and recoatability.
