CARBOPOL 980 NF POLYMER

CARBOPOL® 980 NF polymer is a thickener and rheology modifier with very short flow commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry. It also has bioadhesive and mucoadhesive properties. As a carbomer, CARBOPOL® 980 NF polymer helps form clear gels and stable suspensions when neutralized and is compatible with a wide range of active ingredients and other excipients. Recommended for: semisolids, creams and gels. CARBOPOL® 980 NF is suitable for topical drug delivery, ophthalmic drug delivery, and oral care applications. Recommended concentrations in topicals: 0.5-3 wt%. It's a carbomer homopolymer type C, polymerized in a cosolvent mixture of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane.
